The Greater Los Angeles Chapter is dedicated to serving military personnel who have Lou Gehrig’s Disease. We have a range of services, information, and support systems ready to help current or former service men and women cope with the treatment and management of ALS.

We encourage newly diagnosed veterans to register with the Greater Los Angeles Chapter as soon as possible to begin receiving our services, all of which are provided Free of Charge. Veterans Affairs

News Release
Effective 9/23/08, VA announced that ALS will become a presumptively compensable illness for veterans with 90 days or more of continuous active military service.
