On June 23, Senator Steinberg presented SB 1502, our tax check-off bill, in the Assembly Revenue and Taxation Committee. PALS Jim Barber testified in support of the bill. ALS CHORUS IN A NEW VIDEO OF LOWEN & NAVARRO'S "LEARNING TO FALL"
This moving video captures a group of ALS patients, caregivers, family members and others singing on the title track of PALS Eric Lowen and Dan Navarro's new album, Learning to Fall. Written by Eric Lowen and Preston Sturges, the inspirational song captures the richness and passion of life. The musical duo Lowen & Navarro, here backed by several musicians, have partnered with the Chapter on a number of fundraising projects, and several of our longtime supporters sing in the video. click here to see the video click here to purchase a benefit DVD of a 2005 Lowen & Navarro performance |

2008 IS THE CHAPTER'S 20TH YEAR ANNIVERSARY!
We are proud of the service and support we have provided ALS patients, families, and caregivers since 1988. In the last eight years alone we have grown from a handful of volunteers serving about 100 families in 2000 to a staff of more than a dozen today reaching over 450 PALS in a seven-county area. Click here to see hundreds of photographs from our last 20 years, and read a list of highlights from each year of the Chapter’s history, interviews with some of the founders and others who have contributed to our success, an essay on our early years, and so much more! We want to thank everyone who made the Greater Los Angeles Chapter what it is today. click here to go to our 20th Anniversary website |
